Still alive in Puerto Rico. Just got power 3 days ago. I gave my niece a Chateaux poster before I left Denver. She mentioned something about giving it to Johnnie, he didn't have one. Can't believe I saved that. I had a bunch of posters of bands in the Sioux City area. I only kept my bands poster, gave the rest away.

I just posted an interview that has some new info and great stories about The Chateaux, Tommy Bolin's last band in the Sioux City area before he moved to Denver in 1967. The interview, which was originally published in the December 1995 issue of Lost and Found magazine is with Harlan Busch, a follower of The Chateaux and friend of Tommy's. You can read the interview at the main link below.

I do not believe Tommy ever left the US before joining Deep Purple. From the bootleg gigs I've heard from the UK tour, Tommy was not at his best, for various reasons. Imho...

Was Purple's tour of the UK the 1st time Tommy had played in the UK? I also wondered did any of these gigs go well?

Cool Rockcellar article about Mark Stein-  Tommy Bolin is mentioned and it sounds like his band The Mark Stein Project will perform songs from throughout his career including the stint with Tommy.

I heard a recent interview with M Fleetwood. He said that about 14 years ago, he booked the Albert Hall. He was going to get Fleetwood Mac to play with Peter Green. Peter wanted to do it, but sadly, he later changed his mind.
